Choose Two Colors And Gather Supplies

The first thing you’ll want to do is pick two colors that go well together. These are what you’re going to use to create the elegant swirls of the marble look with your nails. Some people don’t like all their nails in this dramatic look while others love it; choose the look that best suits you. Some of the supplies you’ll want to have for these nail designs are simple items such as; nail files, trimmers, toothpicks, cotton swabs, nail polish, nail polish remover, strengthener, medical tape and a small tub of water. This may seem like a daunting list but it’s simpler than it looks.

Get Prepared

If your choosing to have these nail designs on just a couple fingers part of your preparation will be painting the rest of your nails with a color. You’ll want to paint all nails with a base. Make sure your cuticles are trimmed and taken care of. Pick the fingers that will get the marbling and tape your finger off leaving only the nail exposed. This will help minimize the amount of nail polish that gets on your hand. You are now ready to create your marble nail designs.

Nail Polish And Water

Next you’ll want to drip a bit of one of your nail polishes in the center of the water. It’s a bit tricky at first because you’ll need a manageable blob. In the center of this color drip the other color. Repeat this process several times until the swirl looks like a pool of tie-die. Once you have finished this you are ready for the nail designs. Dip your finger in while trying to get just the nail covered in polish. Let it sit for a moment while you use a toothpick to gather the remainder polishes in the pool. To do this, simply twirl the pick slowly through the polish. Remove your finger and peel off the tape, use the swab to remove any polish on your finger. You then simply repeat the process for your other finger.
