3D nail art fashion show
In Singapore, a stunning woman wearing makeup and face gems saunters through a fashion show. This is no ordinary fashion show. Despite her elaborate makeup and clothing, this woman has one focus-her nails. Her nails are several inches long and are elaborately decorated with mixed media, such as flowers, leaves and rhinestones. Her nails are a far cry from being considered simple nail designs, but it proves the artistic potential of nail art.
Although this website is dedicated to simple nail designs, I think it is entertaining to find out about people’s nail art ventures. A nail art competition is the perfect place to demonstrate creativity and push boundaries. Every year, NailsAsia has several categories for nail art, including “Mixed Media Nail Art Design”. If you are a novice at simple nail designs, this shows what can happen with a little (well, maybe a lot) of practice.
Top: From Vietnam, Pang My Nguyen won first prize for her entry entitled “Angel of Love,” which depicts little figures of cupid on all of her nails.
Bottom: This woman’s nail art theme is the “Wild West,” and she has gold décor extending out from little blue and red fans, hats and the works!
